Throw A Birthday Party For Jesus

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to celebrate Christmas with your kids? Since Christmas IS a celebration of Jesus's birth, why not throw a Birthday Party for Jesus?! It's a fantastic way to remind everyone of the true reason for the season while having a blast. You can throw a party at home with your family or at church with your Sunday School class or even invite friends and neighbors over. Here's how you can make it a memorable event that the kids will cherish.

Decorate with a birthday banner and balloons. You could use a regular birthday banner you already have or use this printable banner that incorporates the colors of Christmas with a cupcake that looks like a Christmas tree.

You may also like theses matching printable birthday hats. You can print them in color or print in black so the kids can color them. Add elastic string for wearing.

Let the kids color this Happy Birthday Jesus coloring page while everyone is arriving for the party.

Share the story of Jesus's birth during the party. You can read a children's book like The Christmas Promise from the Tales That Tell the Truth series. Or you can read the story from Luke 2 in a children's Bible or regular Bible.

Use this printable Nativity Bingo game to make listening to Bible reading fun for kids! Kids will mark off words they hear as someone reads passages from Luke 2, Matthew 2, and John 3:16. Everyone wins by the end if they are good listeners!

No birthday party is complete without a birthday cake! Let the kids help you bake a funfetti birthday cake with icing and sprinkles. Or pick up a birthday cake from the grocery store. You can even have the kids sing happy birthday to Jesus before you cut the cake.

I hope you have fun celebrating Jesus's birth with a birthday party. And I hope that the party will help kids remember why we celebrate Christmas.
